Can we bring our pet with us?

We do generally accept guests travelling with dogs, only for Stringy Bark cottage (sorry no cats due to birdlife). Please contact us before booking to confirm travelling with your dog.

We request that dogs are kept on lead throughout the property (due to native wildlife), kept off furniture/carpeted areas, and to bring along their bedding.

Is firewood included?

Yes, the cottages have a woodshed with firewood, and firelights/matches/kindling are provided. Instructions on how to light a fire are included in the guest information book.

We source all firewood sustainably from the property by hand.

Please note that the wood fireplace is not available during peak summer (fire danger) period usually during Dec-Feb.

There is a split system heater in the cottages for heating.

Do you allow group bookings?

We welcome group/family bookings for our two cottages - it’s perfect to have seperate cottages to accomodate differing families/people’s needs, while still having time shared with loved ones. (Please note, this is a quiet place to rejuvenate and loud parties are not accepted).

Fern Lee and Stringy Bark cottages are located along the same tree fern gully at the base of the property. They are within short walking distance from each other, although privacy remains as they are nestled in the trees.

How close are the shops?

We are conveniently located midway between Healesville and Yarra Junction and the closest shops are about 15mins away (either towards Warburton Highway or Maroondah Highway direction).

For farm produce, the Healesville organic farmers market is on every Saturday morning. Produce from the farm will be available seasonally.
